This digital-only release features reworks of the songs “Photo Photo” by Bristol-based Ambient musician Lucy Gooch and “Color of the Pool” by LA-based art rapper Open Mike Eagle.

Originally from Norfolk, Lucy studied Fine Art and later moved to Bristol to join the emerging ambient scene there - gradually developing her writing and finally releasing her debut Rushing EP in early 2020. Upon signing to Fire, she has released a further EP Rain’s Break which continued to win plaudits from fans and critics alike, and is currently writing her debut album. Earlier this year, Lucy reissued a vinyl version of her Rushing EP and has performed at her first festivals including The Great Escape, Green Man and Glastonbury. Lucy shares that she approached this remix with the "spirited and immediate nature of the record, working with producer Alistair Lax on the arrangement to surround Lillie’s early music-inspired vocal motifs with a big electronic sound."

Open Mike Eagle is an incisive, hilarious, and idiosyncratic purveyor of art rap found, having most recently released 2022’s Component System with the Auto Reverse. His music has been praised by The New York Times, Pitchfork, The New Yorker, and more.

Lala Lala’s Lillie West offers this, "Honored to have Open Mike Eagle and Lucy Gooch, two artists I deeply admire, put their spin on two songs from the record."
